UNICAL 36th Convocation: Hon. Bette Obi congratulates graduands

The prestigious university of Calabar held her 36th convocations in style and plump with the event dominating headlines in media platforms last weekend.

Graduands ranged from Diplomas to Philosophy Degrees (Ph.D.). These academic accomplishments with unquantifiable mental and material inconveniences penetrated Boki leaving traces of scholarship efficacies.

This is reflected in the transformation of Boki from a merely tropical rainforest local government in Central Cross River State into a vast kingdom of scholars with awardees not limited to Rev. Fr. Dr Bob Etta, Dr Julius Kejou, Dr Juliet Diwa, Sir Dr Nkebe Sylvester, Master Anwah Isaac Anwah among others decorated with degrees in various field of studies further consolidating the reservoir of knowledge in Boki.

Flowing from this auspicious outing, Chairman, House Committee on Forestry, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Hon. Bette Philip Obi, who speaks for Boki I State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly, extends felicitations to awardees for their sacrifices in sustaining the ideals of education with a charge on community development through newly acquired philosophical ideologies.

Judging by the envisaged formidable and sustainable bond between the political and academic elites, Boki is set to propel socioeconomic and political emancipation of the state in particular and Nigeria by extension in the foreseeable future.
