Wizkid and Don Jazzy Settle Their Differences Months After Viral Online Dispute

The pair of Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, and Michael Ajereh, professionally known as Don Jazzy, have both reconciled months after a viral online feud.

Recall that the pair were involved in a social media spat a few months ago after Wizkid’s controversial ‘Hip hop is dead’ remarks, to which Ladipoe, one of the artistes under Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records, replied to the ‘Joro’ crooner in a scathing manner.

“Nigerian rappers that survived ‘hip hop is dead’ watching Afrobeat artists go through their own.” Ladipoe wrote in reply to Wizkid.

Moments after his post, a fan called Wizkid’s attention to the Ladipoe’s shade, and Wizkid replied, “lol never chatting to anyone signed to an influencer. Next.d’.”

However, many interpreted Wizkid’s response that he never talks to artistes signed by influencers as an attempt to disparage Don Jazzy, the head of the Mavin Record label, as an influencer.

Wizkid’s statement that Don Jazzy was an influencer sparked a lot of comments and pent-up emotions online because many people didn’t think well of it.

The musician also came under fire from some angry social media users for demeaning Don Jazzy, whom they consider a music icon.

But in a twist of fate, both parties have decided to sheath their swords, as they have both confirmed that they have buried the hatchet, judging by a recent video.

Wizkid and Don Jazzy both hugged each other when they met recently, and their warm behavior in the video suggests that their animosity has come to an end.
