Reinstated Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, has rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC) after defecting to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in June 2020.
Shaibu knelt and begged former APC National Chairman, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, during a ceremony in Benin where the APC National Campaign Council for the 21st September 2024, governorship election was inaugurated.
Shaibu, along with prominent PDP members, announced their return to the APC, stating, “We are back to add value to the APC. We are ready to take back our state.”
APC National Chairman, Dr Abdulahi Ganduje, welcomed Shaibu, asserting that his return guarantees 50% of Edo’s votes.
