Burkina Faso’s transitional authorities have issued search warrants for 32 individuals suspected of involvement in terrorism-related activities, the government announced.
Among those actively sought are journalist and former president of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI), Ahmed Newton Barry, former Member of Parliament for Marie de Dori, Aziz Diallo, journalist Abdoulaye Diallo, as well as activists Naim Touré and Aminata Ouédraogo, also known as Aminata Rachow.
The suspects were previously linked to a “vast plot” to destabilize the government in September 2024.
Authorities are urging the public to provide any relevant information regarding their whereabouts.
