A senior secondary school, SS 1 student, Yakubu Fanami died from saving a mosque marked by a suicide bomber.
The incident happened on 25 Jan. in 2017 in Kaleri, Borno State, North East Nigeria.
His heroism is not saving the Mosque but the hundreds of people who were worshipping in it.
Fanami did that by restraining a female suicide bomber from gaining access to a Mosque.
He and the suicide bomber exploded.
His heroic act saved hundreds of lives that day.
He’s a hero but he is not being celebrated.
