Transfer: Why top European clubs are refusing to pay three-digit fee for Osimhen

Respected Turkish journalist, Mehmet Özcan, has claimed that Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen’s inability to reach 50 matches last season is one of reason why Europe’s elite clubs are refusing to pay a three-digit transfer fee for his signature.

Recall that Galatasaray recently rejected a €60 million offer from Premier League club, Tottenham Hotspur for Osimhen.

The Nigerian international has been linked with a move away from the Turkish Super Lig champions this summer.

Osimhen has been linked with Barcelona, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus.

“Osimhen’s inability to reach 50 matches during the season is one of the reservations of Europe’s elite clubs,” Özcan said as quoted by A Spor.

“This is what is preventing clubs from making a three-digit transfer fee investment.”
