Officials have confirmed that an American Airlines flight attendant was killed during a layover in Denver on Saturday in a stabbing spree that left one other individual dead and two others injured.
In a Monday press release, the Denver Police Department announced that 24-year-old Elijah Caudill had been arrested on Sunday evening for “several stabbings” that took place between Saturday and Sunday.
According to the press release, Caudill stabbed four individuals, including an adult male victim who was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, an adult male victim who was hospitalized with serious injuries, an adult female victim who was declared dead on Saturday, and an adult male victim who was declared dead on Sunday.
According to the Denver Police Department, Levno is believed to have been stabbed by Caudill at roughly 5:17 p.m. on Saturday. Fox News reported that law enforcement officials responding to the incident found the American Airlines flight attendant with stab wounds to her neck. Police officials also found two other victims who had been stabbed near 16th Street in Denver.
The Denver Police Department confirmed that the suspect’s motive for the stabbing spree “remains under investigation; however, the department added, “There does not appear to be any connection with the victims and Caudill.”

Caudill currently remains in custody without bail and faces charges of first-degree murder, first-degree murder of an at-risk elder, and two counts of attempted first-degree murder, according to the Denver Police Department.
Following the weekend stabbing spree, American Airlines confirmed to Fox News that 71-year-old Celinda Levno, a Phoenix-based flight attendant, was one of the victims of Caudill’s stabbing spree in Denver.
An American Airlines spokesperson told Fox News, “We are heartbroken and mourning the tragic loss of our colleague who was the victim of a senseless crime. Our thoughts and support are with her family, loved ones and colleagues, and we are doing all we can to assist law enforcement in its investigation.”
Levno’s death was also confirmed by the Association of Professional Flight Attendants, which represents American Airlines Flight attendants.
“With great sadness, we inform you of the passing of Phoenix-based Flight Attendant Celinda Levno while on layover in Denver. Celinda began her career with America West in 1989,” an Association of Professional Flight Attendants spokesperson told Fox News. “Celinda’s love for her horses, friends, and family will always be remembered. We stand in support with Celinda’s family, friends, and our colleagues in Phoenix Inflight as they process this senseless tragedy.”
