Soya Beans Revolution: C’River Govt Delivers First Shipment to Flour Mills Through “Project Grow”

By Ovat Lawrence, PhD

Today, we are pleased to announce that the Cross River State Government, through the “Project Grow” initiative, has successfully delivered its pilot shipment of 114 x 100kg bags of soybeans to Flour Mills Plc in Ibadan, Oyo State. The loading and offloading of the produce were carried out between 18th and 19th today, ensuring proper handling and timely delivery for processing.

This milestone is a significant step towards promoting commercial agriculture by ensuring a steady supply of soybeans for the food processing Industry in Nigeria .

With this development, Cross River State has become a key player in soybean production and stands as the first soybean-producing state in the South-South region of Nigeria.

We express our sincere appreciation to His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, for this laudable achievement, which underscores the administration’s commitment to economic development.

The attached waybill documents provide further details of the transaction and delivery destination for reference.
